How We Create Content
Every guide begins with real research—journals like JCCP and Pediatrics. But academic papers don't help you at 9pm with a crying kid. So we translate findings into age-specific advice, pressure-test against real parenting situations, and review everything before publishing.
Source Standards
We prioritize sources that meet the following criteria:
- Published in peer-reviewed academic journals
- Authored by credentialed professionals (PhDs, MDs, LCSWs)
- Consistent with current clinical guidelines (AAP, APA, NIMH)
- Replicated or supported by multiple independent studies
When we reference clinical approaches such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), narrative therapy, or bibliotherapy, we cite the foundational research supporting their use with children.
Content Review and Updates
Our guides are living documents. We commit to:
- Regular review cycles: Each guide is reviewed at least every six months to ensure it reflects current research and clinical best practices.
- Transparent dating: Every guide displays a “Last reviewed” date so you know how current the information is.
- Correction policy: If we discover an error or a significant update in the research, we update the guide promptly and note the change.
